September 21, 2008 by KSU_2KSU would like to say thank to who everyone who donated money and materials to enable us to organize this fashion show project. We also want to say thank you to all the students who participated in this project. We successfully held three fashion shows and the students enjoyed them very much and worked very hard. This project gave the young people in the camp a chance to have fun and design their own clothes.
Distributed basic needs
September 13, 2008 by KSU_2Karenni Students Development Program, Children on the Edge and Project to Support Refugee from Burma, provided basic needs materials for students who cannot afford it. In Karenni refugee camp, there are many students who don’t have parents because their parent had left in Burma or passed away. Even if they have parents, the refugee people are not allowed to go outside of the camp to earn money. Also there are not many good quality supplies in the camp. The generosity of the donors made it possible to provide soap, washing powder, tooth paste, tooth brush and sanitary towels for the girls. Sanitary towels are very important because if the girls don’t have it, they will take time away from school every month.
